ADULT AQUATICS
The B.R. Ryall YMCA offers a variety of Adult swimming programs for the
beginning to experienced swimmer.
T.O.W./High School & Adult
Instruction
Terrified of Water and multilevel swim instruction. A low teacher-student
ratio with patient instructors. Beginner skills through advanced skills.
Large Pool.
Synchronized Swimming–Adult
Multi-level synchronized swimming (water ballet). Nose clip and goggles
are encouraged. Participants must be of intermediate swim level
ability. Large Pool.
Hydrocize
For individuals suffering from arthritis, recovering from surgery,
or just needing warm water exercise. Class is held in our 90 degree
shallow water pool. Individuals must be able to negotiate stairs
and enter and exit pool. Physician’s consent required. Small Pool.
Deep Water Fitness
Deep water exercises are easy on the joints. The exercises will help
increase flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular endurance. Swimming
skills are not necessary, but participants must be comfortable
in deep water. A flotation device is worn. Large Pool.
Shallow Water Fitness
This class has shallow water exercises designed to increase flexibility,
strength, and the cardiovascular endurance. Movements are accompanied
by music. No swimming skills are necessary. Large Pool.
Shallow Water/Deep Water Combo
Can’t decide which water fitness class to take? Try our Shallow Water/Deep
Water Combo. This class is designed to increase flexibility, strength,
and cardiovascular endurance. Movements are accompanied by music.
Swimming skills are not necessary. For deep water a floatation
device is worn.
Active Older Adults Volleyball
Looking for a great way to spend the Afternoon? Join others in the
pool for fun, friends, water volleyball, and exercise. 14 classes.
