Summer Camps

Give your child the best summer ever! Few experiences are as special as camp, where kids and teens have fun while building self-confidence, gaining independence and creating their own community. The B.R. Ryall YMCA summer camps provide youth with supervised activities that nurture their spirits, challenge their minds and strengthen their bodies—while teaching values, teamwork, conflict resolution and leadership skills.

Traditional Full-Day Camps (grades K-8)
Our traditional full-day camps are age-specific to ensure there are appropriate activities and expectations for your camper. Weekly themes are incorporated into outdoor games, sports, crafts, songs and enrichment activities. Swimming, outings to local parks and a weekly field trip round out each week to provide for an unforgettable experience.

Dates: Weekly from June 5 through August 18
Hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Extended Care: 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Full-Day Sports Camp (grades 3-6)

At our full-day sports camp, your child will participate in positive, fun activities that build athleticism and friendships, while teaching the fundamentals of sports and teamwork. In age-appropriate groups, kids will learn skills and play football, soccer, volleyball and basketball, as well as nontraditional games like kickball and capture the flag. This camp will keep kids active all day, and will also include swimming, walking trips to local parks and a weekly field trip on Thursdays.

Dates: June 12-16, June 26-30, July 10-14
Hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Extended Care: 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Billy O'Donnell Basketball Camp (grades 4-8)

The Billy O’Donnell Basketball Camp will offer youth an opportunity to learn the sport, gain leadership skills and
develop important character traits. Founded to honor its namesake—a former Y youth basketball coach, this camp is
supported by the generosity of the O’Donnell family.

Dates: June 5-9
Hours: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Extended Care: 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Basketball Skills Camp (grades 1-8)

This camp is the perfect place for your child to continue learning the game and sharpening skills. Instruction will
cover techniques and rules, and the week will end with a series of fun competitions and games.

Dates: August 7-11
Hours: Monday – Friday 10 a.m. to noon (grades 1-3) or 1-3 p.m. (grades 4-8)

Sports of All Sorts Camp (grades 3-5)

This camp is designed to introduce young athletes to different sports through skill-based games. Your child will
walk away with knowledge of sports, as well as respect, teamwork and self-discipline.

Dates: July 24-28
Hours: Monday – Friday 10 a.m. to noon

Camp Fantastik (ages 3-6)

Arts and crafts, introduction to Spanish, character development and fun are rolled into one for your young child’s first introduction to camp. Kids will have a blast learning and discovering new things every day!

Dates: Weekly from June 5-30 and July 10 through August 11
Hours: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to noon

Mini Musicians Camp (ages 4-6)

Sing, dance, clap, stomp and move to music! This new camp offers the chance to experience and create music—all while having fun. Your child will enjoy learning songs, playing games, making instruments and performing on the last day.

Dates: June 12-16, July 31 through August 4
Hours: Monday – Thursday 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Awesome Science Camp (grades K-2)

Science is awesome and educational. This camp will engage your child in the fascinating world of STEM—providing
structure to build upon kids’ inclination to explore, construct and question. Participants will combine knowledge and skills with creativity, while identifying solutions for experiments.

Dates: June 19-23, June 26-30, July 17-21, July 24-28
Hours: Monday – Thursday 9-11 a.m.

Robotics Space Camp (grades 2-5)

Your child will learn robotics technology and programming using LEGO MINDSTORMS kits to design and build robots*. Projects integrate science, engineering and math concepts while promoting problem solving and teamwork. *Robots may not be taken home.

Dates: June 19-23, July 10-14, July 17-21
Hours: Monday – Thursday 9-11 a.m.

Boys Only! Mini-Camp (grades 2-5)

This is the perfect camp for boys to be boys! Your child will have the opportunity to battle it out in the Beyblades stadium, test his aim in Nerf battles, make slime, build rockets and so much more. Each week offers a new adventure!

Dates: June 12-16, July 31 through August 4
Hours: Monday – Wednesday 9 a.m. to noon
