SAFE 'N SOUND Safe 'n Sound is a structured recreational program designed for children grades 1 through 5. Just as the name implies, our program goal is to provide your child with the best care around so that you can go to work knowing your child is in good hands. Work without worrying! Our program focuses on supporting and strengthening children and families through a safe, caring and fun environment. The B.R. Ryall YMCA provides care daily for students in districts 89, 41 and 200. Morning programs begin at 6:30 a.m. and run until school begins. While in attendance in the morning session, children are offered a healthy morning snack (not breakfast). Basic art supplies are available, as are board games, group games and outdoor activities. Afternoon programs begin at school dismissal and run until 6:00 p.m. The afternoon program also provides the students with a healthy snack, quiet time for homework, organized group activities, individual arts and crafts and free time. The Safe 'n Sound program begins and ends with the school calendar and includes scheduled days off and half-days. Care is also available during Winter and Spring breaks to students registered for the Y’s Way program. Additional fees apply.
