History

IN 1919 THE YMCA began building bridges to future generations in DuPage County with the first association begun by a group of 50 community leaders from all sections of DuPage County. Today, the B.R. Ryall YMCA continues the mission of serving the community begun by those 50 individuals.

This page reflects on the growth and expansion of the YMCA in DuPage County over the years. It shows how those with foresight and vision have affected our community in a positive way – building bridges to make the crossing of time easier for those who follow in their footsteps.

Today, as we look toward our future and the generations that will follow, we continue to grow in order others will be impacted by our mission. Without the support of those who preceded us, this facility would not stand here today. In the same way, we cannot expand to meet the growing needs of our community without the support of our current members and community.
