Youth Sports
Youth Basketball League (K-4)
Youth Basketball League is a values based league where boys and girls
learn to play in the spirit of good sportsmanship. Practices are weekdays
with games on Saturday. Each league will play a minimum
of eight games and the leagues are broken down into three based on
grade level.
Grades K-1
This level is great for the beginner. With lowered baskets (8’),
loose refereeing and no score kept the kids are allowed to fall in love
with the game while learning the fundamentals of basketball.
Grade 2
The basket height (8.5’) goes up and the reffing gets a little
stricter as these older kids get a real taste of the game. This league
really starts to prepare players for the next level.
Grades 3-4
With the basket at 9 ft. and all rules enforced this is the perfect league
to prepare players for Junior High ball while still allowing the kids
to have fun.
Tee-Ball (Grades K-2)
Spark your child's interest in the great American pastime by starting them out in our well known Tee-Ball league. This is an instructional, non-competitve league where participants will learn and expand on the fundamentals of baseball. All equipment will be provided (expect glove) and players will receive a jersey to keep. To end the season families are invited to attend a Kane County Cougars game. Season begins on June 14, 2011. All games are played on Tuesday or Thursday evenings, practices will be Monday, Wednesday or Friday evenings. (Practices are 1x per week) Season: June 19 - August 16, 2012
