Day Camps

Camp Kinder Ridge (Entering K & 1st Grade)
Kinder Ridge is designed to meet the needs of the younger camper through age appropriate and educational activities. Campers will enjoy a summer filled with arts and crafts, creative play, songs, and group games. Campers will experience and participate in fun outdoor activities and the exploration of nature. Major field trips are selected to compliment weekly themes to captivate the attention of the little camper. Local neighborhood trips will also tie in with the theme and major field trip of the week. Recreational swimming is also a part of summer camp.

Camp Wilderness (Entering 2nd & 3rd Grades)
Campers will start to learn how fun the outdoors can be through sports, nature, art, swimming, and hiking. Many special activities such as jewelry making, group games, and alternating athletic clinics weekly are also a part of camp. Other activities such as field trips, the Jr. Achievement Program, and parent nights are a highlight of Camp Wilderness.

Camp Timber Ridge (Entering 4th & 5th Grades)
The great outdoors comes alive to these campers through many different activities. Traditional sports and crafts are a part of this camp with an emphasis on group activities and social interaction. Weekly visits to local Forest Preserves and daily swimming help to keep the campers active.

Camp Pryde (Entering 6–9th Grades)
Camp Pryde will offer campers leadership training, team building activities, outdoor skills, community involvement, and weeks of different activities. Campers go on two field trips a week and swim daily. Overnights, fishing, and sessions filled with fun field trips will help these campers make memories to last a lifetime. Camp Pryde meets at Blackwell Forest Preserve. Transportation to/from the YMCA is provided for parent convenience.

NOTE: Day camps include weekly field trips. Extended care available from 6:30-8:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m. at YMCA only.
