Sports Camps

Chicago Bears Football Camp (Age 6-14)*
This non-contact camp is led by professional, college and high school coaches. Featuring Chicago Bear Heroes like wide receiver Wendell Davis, running back Thomas Sanders and defensive end Al Harris.

Traveling Skate Camp (Age 9-15)
Come have fun, travel to some of Chicagoland’s best skate parks and learn the tricks of the trade. Participants visit three to six different skate park facilities per day. Skate Camp fees include entrance fees and transportation. All in-liners and skateboarders must supply their own equipment and adhere to each parksʼ specific safety equipment regulations. In-liners and skateboarders will have a great week at this camp. Enrollment is limited.

Camp Splash
Add swimming classes to your camper’s day camp experience! This summer we are offering weekly swimming classes that will work on basic stroke development and water safety. Swimmers will be divided into three skill levels—Polliwog/Guppy (beginners), Minnow/Fish (intermediate) and Flying Fish/Shark (advances). Camp Splash is limited to registered Day Campers only (five days per week).

Camp Climb (Age 11-16)
The challenge begins indoors and culminates with the adventure of outdoor climbing. At this 5 day camp you will learn basic climbing skills and safety techniques including belay certification. We will spend 4 days indoors at area climbing gyms including our Y. On the 5tth day we will travel to Mississippi Palisades State Park in Savanna, Illinois for a day of outdoor climbing that will test the skills that they have developed. In this camp participants will learn teamwork, respect and self confidence. Please pack a lunch every day for this camp.

Sports Camp (Age 9-13)
If your son or daughter is a sports enthusiast, then they’ll enjoy the Y’s Sports Camp, which is modeled after the national “Y-Winners” philosophy; play hard, play fair, everyone is a winner! We have many indoor options available for when the weather does not cooperate including racquetball, indoor team sports, volleyball, floor hockey, baseball, tennis, basketball, flag football and more! Swimming is always a part of the camps daily schedule. Each day the Sports Campers will end their day with some friendly team competitions. Extended care is available before and after camps.
