COVID School Age Care
The Y believes every child has promise, and that positive activities and influences from an early age help youth develop and achieve their potential. Our staff members provide knowledge, guidance and encouragement to help children learn and thrive. After all, we need more leaders and kids of character in the world, and our Y is helping to develop them.
Focused on our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, Safe ‘n Sound provides before – and after – school programming for children in grades K-5. Our schedule allows time for homework, group games, creative time, recreational activities and character development. PM snacks are provided each afternoon.
This program is for students who attend D41 or D89 and are currently in either a hybrid or full remote school year. Students will attend in person school and then return to either a designated D89 school (for D89 students or the YMCA (for D41 students).

Days Off Care
This program is for current Safe ‘n Sound and Kindergarten Round Up COVID program participants only. If you are not currently enrolled in one of these programs then you are not eligible to enroll in days off.
On days when there is no school, care is provided at a daily rate of $45.
Children will participate in socially distanced group game and crafts, outside time (weather permitting) and a movie. Hours are 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
